As the African Cup of Nations is set to end on Sunday, February 11, 2024, the Dean of Students’ Affairs of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has approved the request of the SUG to view the finals at Freedom Square.
Recall that Nigeria beat South Africa in a penalty shootout to emerge for the finals with Ivory Coast, which outplayed DR. Congo with a 2:0 in the semi-finals
The finals between the two spectacular teams are scheduled to commence by 9 p.m. at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
Thus, it is going to be a memorable day for the students of UNN, as the SUG has made the necessary preparations, such as providing the venue that will accommodate the students.
Extending the closing hour to 11:30 instead of the usual hour for the entire hostels at the Nsukka campus.
Also, taking responsibility for any work closely with campus security to maintain order.
Therefore, the students are expected to show their patriotism by coming out in mass to support the Nigeria Super Eagles.
