The University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC) SUG Public Relations Officer has cleared the air on issues of hostel accommodation for UNEC students.

According to the latest information posted by the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Faith Bassey.

Over 95 percent has been allocated to female students while over 70% has been occupied by male students.

Furthermore, he disclosed that a few spaces were still available for freshmen in the hostel.

Hostel like Lady Ibiam,which could be accessed through mopup or manual

Whereas, as of now, online hostel allocation is no longer accessible.

He implores the affected students to find an alternative by considering a lodge.

1. Truth is over 95 % of Hostel Allocation for Females have been given out already. For boys over 70 % is allocated out already .

2. Hostel Allocation follows batches , concessions and special considerations . This brings the Hostel Allocation into online Allocation and Manual Allocation.

3. A few Spaces still left for Freshmen in hostel like Ibiam might be opened for mopup or still go into Manual Allocation

4. As at now online Allocation is over. Sad but please try to find alternatives by getting lodges.

5. Do not fall into any scam of someone

promising you hostel and going away with your hard earned money .

6. It’s a tough moment for everyone out there.

After last visit, I made recommendations again to avert another occurrence of Monday event. So sorry about how many students the hostel issues has displaced
