What is General Cut-off Mark?

The general cutoff mark is also known as the eligibility cutoff mark. This is the benchmark on which the school relies to accept post-UTME application forms online from prospective candidates. This is usually determined by the JAMB board each year after the JAMB examinations.

Hence, the general cutoff is not often constant; rather, it is usually ascertained by the scores of candidates in each year’s JAMB examinations.

However, some candidates aren’t usually aware of the school’s general cutoff mark before forging ahead to make payment online for post-UTME screening registration.

Afterwards, the candidate won’t be granted access to register for screening online because he or she didn’t meet the required general cutoff mark.

This will sometimes cause the candidate to lose his or her money without receiving a refund in return.

What is UNN General Cutoff Mark for Post UTME Application?

The school management is yet to decide on the general cutoff mark for this year’s eligibility for post-UTME.

Previously, the school management did set their general cutoff mark between 160 and 180, depending on the instructions from JAMB. Thus, they are still waiting for JAMB to release the general cutoff after their meeting that was rescheduled to be held this month.

UNN Post-UTME Exam

Obviously, after registering for post-Utme, you will be anticipating the examination date, venue, and time. Though, as of recently, the school management has not conducted physical post-UTME exams as they used to.

Rather, they combine both the JAMB score and the WAEC result to get the aggregate score. Hence, the JAMB score has a greater percentage than the WAEC score.

However, this percentage is valid if the school management considers combining the JAMB score and WAEC this year.

But if it turns the other way around, the JAMB score and the physical written post-UTME score might have an equal percentage. But as it stands now, the school management will unveil the method for this year’s post-UTME examination after the JAMB meeting.

Post-UTME Result

After the online registration or physical written examination, depending on this year’s pattern, the school management will release the post-UTME results of those candidates who participated.

Admission List

Those that cross the departmental cutoff marks will be given admission on merit by JAMB on the merit admission list, usually called the first admission list or batch. However, there are other admission lists that will subsequently come out after the merit list.

Clearance and Start Lectures
